Stan Wawrinka continued his rise to prominence by beating world number one Novak Djokovic in the 2015 French Open final over night.
Despite having only beaten Djokovic three times in 20 matches, Wawrinka displayed his class to win his second Grand Slam win after the 204 Australian Open.
Heading in as the favourite and just one win away from a career Grand Slam, Djokovic got off to a great start claiming the first set 6-4.
But this would be the only set he would win, as the 30-year-old Switzerland native took the momentum and ran with it.
Wawrinka’s beautiful shot making proved too much for his opponent as he claimed the next three sets 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.
The win caps off a great tournament for Wawrinka afte he knocked off his Swiss counterpart Roger Federer in the quarter finals.
