NRL Round Eight Review

With a week off in front of them for the representative weekend, all 16 teams pushed hard in round eight to get a much needed win.

Bulldogs- 14 def. by Tigers- 38

 

In one of the most surprising results of the round, the Tigers dominated the highly fancied Bulldogs to score a 24-point win.

 

Warriors- 28 def. by Titans- 32

 

The Titans held off a late comeback from the Warriors to register a crucial four point victory.

 

Knights- 24 def. by Cowboys- 26

 

Even though they lost Jason Taumalolo and Jake Granville to injury early, the rampant Cowboys chalked up another win, this time it was by just two points over Newcastle.

 

Roosters- 12 def. by Dragons- 14

 

Two late penalties goals to Gareth Widdop helped the Dragons seal victory in their wet and soggy affair against the Roosters.

 

Storm- 10 def. by Sea Eagles- 12

 

Despite having had a season from hell to date, the Sea Eagles managed to lift against their arch rivals the Storm and they got over the line by just two points.

 

Broncos- 28 def. Eels- 16

 

A double to boom recruit Anthony Milford helped the Broncos claim the points over the Eels.

 

Panthers- 26 def. Sharks- 18

 

A huge showing by State of Origin hopeful Matthew Moylan helped get the injury ravaged Panthers over the line against the Sharks.

 

Rabbitohs- 22 def. by Raiders- 30

 

A double from Edrick Lee resulted in the Raiders upsetting the Rabbitohs by 8 points in Cairns.
