Kevin Durant and Nike donate $2 million toward Oklahoma tornado relief.
Star NBA player Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder has personally donated $1 million toward Oklahoma tornado relief.
Durant’s generosity didn’t end with himself, asking personal sponsor Nike to pledge to the cause.
Durant’s efforts were rewarded when Nike agreed to donate $1 million of footwear and apparel to assist the Oklahoma communities in need.
“Reached out to my Nike fam to see if they could help Oklahoma. They’re in.”
Nike and Kevin Durant will also donate all profits from Kevin Durant’s signature Nike basketball shoe the KD V Elite between May 23 and June 15 to Kaboom, a non-profit organisation that rebuilds playgrounds and the Moore Public School foundation.
Donations aside, Kevin Durant spent time touring the areas hit by tornado and with the people affected.
